(NaturalNews) You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand why genetically modified foods are dangerous, but if you look closely, you may just find the name of one listed among the names of more than 800 scientists from around the globe who have joined forces in an open letter to all world governments, outlining their detailed concerns over the alarming potential threat of biotech’s unauthorized, worldwide GM foods experiment.
In a country whose government and media appear only too eager to conjure up fear of “bioterrorism” and “biological weapons,” it’s shocking (albeit obviously deliberate) to what extent the GMO issue remains omitted from mainstream discussion. Consider that the message from these scientists seems to be that the whole planet is already under attack by the persistent and largely unchecked, reckless behavior of greedy, unruly U.S. corporations – corporations whose activities appear to be sponsored by the federal government. And whether you know it yet or not, your body is the battleground.
The letter, as posted by the Institute of Science in Society (http://www.i-sis.org.uk/list.php), is a collective call for the immediate suspension of any and all releases of GM crops and products into the environment for at least five years, in order to allow for more thorough testing. The scientists further demand that all patents on life-forms and living processes – including seeds, cell lines and genes – be revoked and banned “for a comprehensive public inquiry into the future of agriculture and food security for all.”
Life is a discovery, they say, not an innovation, and patents on life-forms and living processes “sanction biopiracy of indigenous knowledge and genetic resources, violate basic human rights and dignity, compromise healthcare, impede medical and scientific research and are against the welfare of animals.” Furthermore, they argue that GM crops provide no identifiable benefits either to farmers or consumers; instead, they offer only very significant risks to all living things.
GMOs are just bad news, followed by more bad news
Any consumption of GMO products is basically a smorgasbord of disaster, say these global scientists. In their thorough and fully cited open letter, they take biotechnology to task – making clear, undeniable connections between GM food crops and other products (like milk from cows injected with genetically modified Bovine Growth Hormone) and health problems for mammals in general. At the same time the GM crops themselves actually contribute to lower yields, increased use of herbicides/insecticides, unpredictable performance, poor economic returns, and a progressive monopoly on food by big corporations, they also encourage herbicide-tolerant weeds and pesticide-resistant superbugs, making their purported goal of “feeding the world” appear just as it is – clearly out of the reach of biotech industry. Scientists propose, instead, that these large food corporations are actually more the cause of world hunger currently, than they are the solution to it.
“It is on account of increasing corporate monopoly operating under the globalised economy that the poor are getting poorer and hungrier,” scientists say. “Family farmers around the world have been driven to destitution and suicide… Mergers and acquisitions are continuing.” Seed patent policies currently in place at biotech companies prevent farmers from saving and replanting seeds, an activity the scientists acknowledge, is one enjoyed even by third world farmers.
As promised; however, it only gets worse. Scientists agree that GMOs actually harm the delicate biodiversity necessary to the balance and maintenance of life on this planet. GM products, they say, “decimate wild plant species indiscriminately,” cause birth defects in mammals, kill insects essential to pollination like bees, lacewings, monarch butterflies, and pose other very serious threats related to horizontal gene transfer – for example, the “spread of antibiotic resistance marker genes that would render infections diseases untreatable, the generation of new viruses and bacteria that cause diseases, and harmful mutations which may lead to cancer.”
Multiple hazards to both animal and human health have already been identified by sources around the world, resulting either in bans on GM products or the adoption of strict labeling laws by many countries. Here in the U.S.; however, secret memoranda from inside the FDA have revealed its history of disregarding the warnings of its own scientists. Still, with a separate but similar mass appeal to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 2009 failing to make a rippled, lasting impact, one can only hope that eventually the science on GMOs – and the growing number of people who know about it – will simply be too loud to ignore.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhge9WQG2VrmXAyGJT5_4-kBQwdTj1TTRP6KEEsjkgFPBqC_iSjyVFsRbDu6JBxGHyshCA00_1NA9anm_NTflLMl5GFg5iOqZa2318_kzN2zqe_2urrEAb-ZMtRLZZqo5X7bop3Vc6nKfRN/s1600/Juice.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="231" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhge9WQG2VrmXAyGJT5_4-kBQwdTj1TTRP6KEEsjkgFPBqC_iSjyVFsRbDu6JBxGHyshCA00_1NA9anm_NTflLMl5GFg5iOqZa2318_kzN2zqe_2urrEAb-ZMtRLZZqo5X7bop3Vc6nKfRN/s400/Juice.jpg" width="400" /></a>Far more than just a passing health fad, juicing raw
fruits and vegetables every day continues to be one of the best ways to
obtain fresh, bioavailable nutrients in therapeutic, health-transforming
doses. The short-term health benefits of juicing include things like
increased energy levels and digestive relief, while the long-term health
benefits include chronic illness prevention of the type that could add
both life to your years and years to your life. Here are five specific
ways that juicing can literally help save your life:
<br />
<b>1) Repair bowel issues</b>. Gastrointestinal dysfunction is one of
the most prevalent, chronic ailments people suffer from today, and
mainstream medicine’s “solutions” typically provide minimal symptom
relief with a whole slew of harmful side effects. However, one of the
most effective healing treatments for digestive and bowel disorders is
raw juicing, which not only helps eliminate harmful toxins and bacteria
from the colon, but also helps heal any damaged tissue or fissures that
might be present.<br />
Galina Kotlyar of <i>KnowYourGut.com</i> is one of many who has
experienced a powerful health transformation as a result of juicing.
Mainstream doctors were unable to cure her severe case of ulcerative
colitis, which left her stricken with severe pain, bloody stools, and
other life-threatening symptoms that prevented her from eating and
drinking normally. But after just three weeks of drinking only
freshly-juiced vegetables, performing colonics, and supplementing, the
formerly pale, skinny mother returned to a normal weight, and no longer
suffers from a life-threatening condition. (<a href="http://www.knowyourgut.com/how-juicing-saved-my-life/" target="_blank">http://www.knowyourgut.com/how-juicing-saved-my-life/</a>)<br />
<b>2) Correct nutrient deficiencies</b>. Many chronic illnesses are a
direct result of nutrient deficiencies, which can be easily and quickly
remedied through juicing. Since they provide an easily-digestible
source of a myriad of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, fresh
juices are one of the simplest ways to avoid developing heart disease,
organ failure, cancer, and various other health conditions that can
result in early death.<br />
A major component of the anti-cancer Gerson Diet, for instance, involves <a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/juicing.html">juicing</a> nutrient-dense,
enzyme-rich fruits and vegetables like cabbage, carrots, apples, and
leafy greens. These foods, and the many healing components they possess,
naturally assist the body in healing itself. By delivering a steady
stream of assimilable nutrients directly into the body, juicing helps
ensure that your nutrient stores never run dry. (<a href="http://gerson.org/gerpress/the-gerson-therapy/" target="_blank">http://gerson.org/gerpress/the-gerson-therapy/</a>)<br />
<b>3) Kill cancer cells</b>. Specifically with regard to cancer,
juicing is one of the easiest and most effective ways to naturally avoid
developing this pandemic illness. Numerous scientific studies have
found that the nutrients contained in pomegranates, cabbage, broccoli,
celery, carrots, and apples, for instance, prevent the growth and spread
of cancer cells throughout the body. And because fresh, raw juice
contains concentrated doses of these anti-cancer nutrients, it is far
more effective therapeutically than eating the same fruits and
vegetables whole (as you would have to eat a whole lot more of them).<br />
“Fresh juice is loaded with cancer-fighting phytochemicals and vitamins, in a state easily absorbed by the body,” admits the <i>Stanford University</i> <i>Cancer Institute </i>about the healing power of juicing. (<a href="http://cancer.stanford.edu/patient_care/services/nutrition/recipes/juicingRecipes.html" target="_blank">http://cancer.stanford.edu</a>)<br />
<b>4) Lose weight</b>. If being overweight or obese is problematic
for you, juicing can help you shed those extra pounds and achieve the
weight loss goals you have always desired. Obesity-related illness,
according to the U.S. Surgeon General, account for roughly 300,000
deaths every single year, and includes conditions such as coronary heart
disease, Type II diabetes, and liver and gallbladder disease, all of
which can be avoided through juicing.<br />
Joe Cross, Director and Executive Producer of the film <i>Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead</i>, is a living testament to the power of juicing in not only curing obesity, but also in fully reversing the course of declining <a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/health.html">health</a> that
often accompanies being overweight. After just 60 days of raw juice
cleansing, Cross lost 100 pounds, and is now in full recovery from other
obesity-related health conditions that required him taking copious
amounts of pharmaceutical drugs in order to manage. (<a href="http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/about.html" target="_blank">http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/about.html</a>)<br />
<b>5) Improve mood</b>. Mental illness is becoming more prevalent in
today’s world, and a common, but often unrecognized, cause of this
category of disease is simple nutrient deficiency. If left unaddressed,
mental illnesses caused by <a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/nutrient.html">nutrient</a> deficiency
can take a serious toll on physical health, which is why it is
important to correct it early through juicing and other nutritional
means.<br />
“Vitamins act as catalytic agents in the body, helping to speed up
the chemical processes vital for both survival and brain function,”
explains Dr. Hyla Cass in her book <i>St. John’s Wort: Nature’s Blues Buster</i>,
which highlights the importance of nutrition in maintaining a healthy
mental state. “As a result, vitamin deficiencies can sometimes manifest
themselves as depression. Fortunately, when these deficiencies are
treated with supplements (or juicing!), there is a reversal in
symptoms.” (<a href="http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/nutrition/nutritional-approaches-to-mental-health" target="_blank">http://www.globalhealingcenter.com</a>)<br />

sustainable farming, it would be a nation that is composed mostly of
farmers. Such a place does exist, and it soon may be the first nation to
go 100% organic, paving the way for others to do the same on a global
scale.
<br />
The Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan is known for a <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/dec/01/bhutan-wealth-happiness-counts">high level of</a> citizen happiness, but it is doing something even more noteworthy in the near future. With Prime Minister <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&cad=rja&ved=0CEkQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cabinet.gov.bt%2F&ei=bs4hUf0Y5PPZBZuogJAK&usg=AFQjCNGeQCF7pJPwa7pR9w9PI3vH6plGgQ&bvm=bv.42553238,d.b2I">Jigmi Thinley</a> making a major announcement regarding the organic farming project at the <a href="http://www.uncsd2012.org/">Rio+20</a> Conference on Sustainable Development which took place last month, the move <a href="http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2012/07/31/157645902/bhutan-bets-organic-agriculture-is-the-road-to-happiness">has made</a> national
headlines. It’s called the National Organic Policy, and it is fueled by
the simple concept that working ‘in harmony with nature’ will yield the
most powerful results — all without sacrificing human health or the
environment.<br />
What this comes down to is no GMO, no pesticides, no herbicides, no
fluoride-based spray products, no Monsanto intrusion at all, and a whole
lot of high quality food available for the 700,000 citizens of Bhutan.
Food that, at one time, was simply called ‘food’. In the statement to
other policy makers, Prime Minister Jigmi Thinley <a href="http://www.ifoam.org/advocacy/rio20/Statement_RIO20_Prime_Minister_of_Bhutan_June_19_2012.pdf">explained</a> the move:<br />
<blockquote>
“By working in harmony with nature, they can help sustain the flow of nature’s bounties.”</blockquote>
Bhutan’s land <a href="http://www.nationsencyclopedia.com/Asia-and-Oceania/Bhutan-AGRICULTURE.html">currently supplys</a> most
corn, rice, fruits, and some vegetables, and it is perfectly positioned
to begin developing 100% organic farming. In addition to containing a
population that is mostly farmers, it also has extremely rich lands that
are truly beyond what many consider organic.<br />
Some lands in Bhutan have not even been touched with harsh chemicals
of any kind, and traditional techniques are utilized to produce high
yields without Monsanto dipping into the pockets of family farmers. This
is in sharp contrast to India’s farming community, which has been
shafted by Monsanto and subsequently nicknamed the ‘<a href="http://naturalsociety.com/monsantos-gmo-seeds-farmer-suicides-every-30-minutes/">suicide belt</a>‘ due to the rampant suicides that can be blamed in part by Monsanto-induced financial ruin.<br />
Australian <a href="http://www.ifoam.org/about_ifoam/inside_ifoam/boards.html">adviser to</a> Bhutan, Andre Leu, explains:<br />
<blockquote>
“I don’t think it’s going to be that difficult given that the majority of the agricultural land is already organic by default.”</blockquote>
The shift is certainly inspiring, but it also reminds us about the
true lunacy of designating foods as ‘organic’ and ‘traditional’ in
modern society. These Bhutan farmers are not growing magic beans or
enchanted corn, they are growing <i><b>real food</b></i>.
Actual food as it was grown for thousands of years. It’s only now, with
the advent of ways in which we can toxify our crops, do we value organic
as if it were some privilege or act of class. When it comes down to it,
we just want <i>real</i> food.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L3JrM3f9-Zc/UZaN_A8g88I/AAAAAAAAADA/U77w-fwjPXQ/s1600/Scale.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L3JrM3f9-Zc/UZaN_A8g88I/AAAAAAAAADA/U77w-fwjPXQ/s320/Scale.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Most dieticians will tell us that the first step in achieving a healthy body weight is buying a good bathroom scale. The second is using it, regularly. Knowing our weight keeps us honest, and this basic bit of information is a key motivator for the nutrition and exercise changes needed to stay fit over the long haul. And it’s simple and effortless.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Except that it’s not. Many people do not have a scale, and what’s more, do not want one. Or if they have one, they never use it. There are many explanations for such avoidance. Some people hold on to a bygone image of themselves, believing that they are still fit and healthy. They don’t want this cherished delusion shattered. Or they don’t want to face the rigors of a diet regimen, so they choose to remain ignorant of their unhealthy condition. Or they find the very sight of the scale aversive and depressing.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
All of these psychological dynamics are understandable. Health information—even something as simple as the number on the scale—can be threatening. And perversely, the information is most threatening to those who are in most need of it. So how can we diminished the threat and fear associated with vital health information—and in doing so, reduce unhealthy avoidance?</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Two psychological scientists at the University of Florida believe they may have an answer. Jennifer Howell and James Shepperd thought that it might be possible to shift people’s focus from the immediate emotional threat—the threat to positive self-image—to a more detached and deliberative analysis of their motives and actions and health. They wanted to see if they could get people to think about their own thinking—why they should want to know this information, and why they might want to hide from it. They call this cognitive state “contemplation,” and they’ve begun exploring its potential for healthy decision making.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Weight control is an important public health issue these days, but Howell and Shepperd believe their theory may apply to other health threats as well, including diabetes, heart disease and AIDS. So in their first study, the experimenters dressed in scrubs in order to simulate a real-life healthcare setting. They told the volunteers that they were participating in a hospital study of Type 2 diabetes, and they showed them informational videos about the disease and its treatment. All the volunteers completed a diabetes risk calculator—but they were not yet given the chance to know the results.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
First, half the volunteers performed an exercise meant to put them in contemplative mode. They were prompted to reflect about how they would think and feel and act if they were diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes: Would the diagnosis be distressing? Would they regret not learning about their diabetes risk earlier? And so forth. Finally, with half primed for contemplation and the others serving as controls, all the volunteers decided whether or not to find out their risk assessment score. The scientists expected that those in a more detached, contemplative state of mind would be more likely to seek out this important health information—rather than hide from it.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
And that’s just what they found. As described in a forthcoming issue of the journal <i style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">Psychological Science</i>, far fewer contemplative volunteers avoided learning their diabetes risk. This suggests that prompting people to deliberate the consequences of learning or avoiding health information—this cognitive shift can actually reduce avoidance of crucial health information.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Howell and Shepperd wanted to look at this a different way, and with a different disease threat. So in a second study, volunteers completed a lifetime risk calculator for cardiovascular disease. Like before, they were not offered the results right away. And again, only some of the volunteers were prompted to contemplate their reasons for seeking or avoiding their personal cardiovascular risk. Then they again made a choice—to know or not to know their actual risk.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
The results were basically the same as before. Fewer of the contemplative volunteers avoided what could be scary information about their future health odds. They weighed the reasons for seeking and for avoiding information, and found the reasons for being knowledgeable far more compelling.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Type 2 diabetes and heart disease are both diseases that can be managed to an extent by prudent behavior—improvements in diet and exercise, for instance. So it makes sense that, once people distance themselves from their fear and emotion, they would opt to know their real risk. But other diseases—Huntington’s disease, for example—can be neither prevented nor effectively treated. So if Howell and Shepperd’s theory of contemplation holds true, there would seem to be little value in knowing about risk for such diseases. In other words, contemplation should not be an effective cognitive strategy for diminishing fear and threat of uncontrollable diseases. The scientists ran a final experiment to explore this possibility.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
The experiment was identical to the diabetes study, except that the volunteers watched a video about a fictitious enzyme disorder called thioamine acetylase, or TAA, deficiency. The video was ostensibly narrated by a hospital physician and expert, who explained that the enzyme deficiency could have serious health consequences. The expert also explained that one in five young people had TAA deficiency, though it was symptomless in its early stages.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
Then half the volunteers learned that TAA deficiency could be easily treated with a daily pill, while the others learned that the disease was untreatable. Some of each group were then primed for contemplation, while the rest were not. Then all the volunteers decided whether or not to learn if they harbored the disease.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
As expected, fewer contemplative volunteers avoided knowing their diagnosis—but only if they thought that TAA deficiency was treatable. If they thought it was untreatable, they were no more inquiring than the controls. That is, they contemplated the disease and its risks and found no good reason to be informed about a disease they could not control in any case.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; color: #383838; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px 0px 10px; text-align: justify;">
So control matters in people’s decisions to be informed or remain ignorant. But unfortunately, people often do not know how much control they really have in managing disease. A diagnosis can seem like a death sentence if one is not well-informed about a disease. Indeed, as Howell and Shepperd note, more than half of those who get tested for HIV never return for the results, presumably because they fear hearing the worst. Yet this is a disease that has become much more manageable in recent years, making it a perfect target for a public health intervention using the new tool of contemplation.<br />

happening? Just as the Mayans predicted so many years ago, the
apocalypse would become apparent in 2012. But many misinterpret the
apocalypse to be the end of the world, when in fact it actually means an
“un-covering, a revelation of something hidden.”
<br />
As many continue to argue the accuracy of the Mayan calendar, it can
no longer be argued that a great many people are finally becoming aware
of what has been hidden from them for so long. Of course this awakening
is not an overnight process. It takes time to peel away the many layers
of lies to get to the core of the ultimate truths.<br />
It would be beyond pretentious for us to claim to know all of the
secrets of the universe. We don’t. Everyday we are humbled by what we
don’t yet know.<br />
However, it is becoming clearer by the day what <i>isn’t</i> true. And by that measure alone, it is possible to determine if you’re one of the people beginning to wake up.<br />
<br />
Here are ten signs you may be fully awake:<br />
<a href="http://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a>1. <b>You know there’s no meaningful difference between major political parties </b>(Democrats
and Republicans): It’s so easy to get caught up the left-right debate
and believe there’s a difference between the two major political
parties. However, debate is one thing, while actions are another. By
their deeds you shall know them, and it is indisputable that there is no
significant difference between political parties when it comes to
action on the most important issues. Even hardened ideologues like <a href="http://truth-out.org/opinion/item/11264-john-cusack-and-jonathan-turley-on-obamas-constitution">John Cusack</a> are beginning to wake up.<br />
2. <b>You understand that the Federal Reserve, or international central banking more broadly, is the engine of our economic problems</b>: Debt slavery is <a href="http://www.activistpost.com/2010/07/10-ways-youre-being-fleeced-by-banks.html" target="_blank">the totalitarian force</a>
that threatens all of humanity, not some temporary political puppet or
some greedy Wall Street trader. When a small group of people have the
ability to create wealth out of nothing and charge interest on it, they
have the ability to enslave the planet to their ownership despite what
type of government a country claims to have.<br />
3. <b>You know that preemptive war is never necessary: </b>
When we realize that self-defense is the only acceptable form of
violence, then we become awakened human beings. To suggest war because
someone is different from you, or they may pose a threat in the future
is simply ludicrous. And when did the idea of bombing civilians become
humanitarian? No one wants war except for the immoral creeps that
benefit from it.<br />
4. <b>You know that you’re being systematically poisoned, how, by whom, and why:</b> Admittedly, there’s a lot to learn in terms of how <a href="http://www.activistpost.com/2010/07/7-secret-ways-we-are-being-poisoned.html">we are secretly being poisoned</a>.
But the fact remains that we are being systematically poisoned, and it
is likely for the deliberate purpose of dumbing us down and, ultimately,
culling the population. Who could believe anyone is so evil to do that
to innocent people, you may ask. Well, once you begin to seek the answer
to that question, you’re one step closer to enlightenment.<br />
5. <b>You understand that government can never legislate morality, nor should they:</b>
When you realize the role of government is only to protect your liberty
and work for the well being of the citizens, you’re awakened. There
should be one simple law regulating morality: Do no harm. Thus, it’s
impossible for the government to enforce morality with guns, cages, and
taxes because those clearly cause severe harm to your liberty and our
well-being.<br />
6. <b>You know that the mainstream media is wholly owned and manipulated by the ruling elite:</b> A <a href="http://theintelhub.com/2012/03/30/cnn-loses-half-its-viewers-corporate-media-downhill-plunge-continues-as-alternative-media-explodes/" target="_blank">dwindling number of people</a>
still actually believe what they hear coming from the establishment
media as if it’s gospel, even when they already accept that they are
bought and paid for by the elite controllers. Yet, recognizing that they
are nothing more than a propaganda machine and <a href="http://www.activistpost.com/2010/12/10-modern-methods-of-mind-control.html" target="_blank">a form of mind control</a> are the first steps in being able to critically think beyond the scientific messaging they broadcast.<br />
7. <b>You know that your neighbors are not your enemy even if you have fierce ideological disagreements:</b>
This is perhaps the most difficult thing to overcome in the awakening
process. But it’s vital to understand that your neighbors have been
indoctrinated and hypnotized like the rest of the us, until someone
helps shine a light on inconsistencies in our thoughts and beliefs. Most
of their ideas are not their own. They are suffering just like the rest
of us. It’s okay to condemn their actions if they’re harmful, but those
who are awake will not give up on spreading information that can
enlighten those who might still be in the dark. None of us were born
“awake” and all of us can learn even more.<br />
8. <b>You know that the endgame is one-world control of planet Earth:</b>
Once you understand that the endgame for the ruling elite is to have
complete control of all vital facets of society through a global
government, one-world currency, international armed forces, and so on,
it is simple to see through the lies and propaganda surrounding even the
most confusing world events. You will never go back to sleep when you
fully accept this reality.<br />
9. <b>You recognize that there are esoteric powers manipulating our physical world: </b>Whether
you’re a religious or spiritual person, scientific or just plain
curious, there are many theories about an invisible force at play in all
of this. Obviously it’s impossible to prove exactly what it is. You may
not want to believe it, but the ruling elite takes their occult rituals
deadly serious. And they likely know something we don’t. Just by
keeping an open mind about this possibility, you’ll forever keep an open
mind about the things we can actually see, hear, taste and touch.
Current science has shown that <a href="http://open.salon.com/blog/jeff_j/2012/02/23/seeing_the_light_how_do_we_see_the_world" target="_blank">we can only “see” what the visible light spectrum reveals</a>,
which amounts to the tiniest fraction of all that can theoretically be
seen within the full spectrum of energy. Part of any awakening is
realizing that there is much more that is <i>possible</i> than impossible.<br />
10. <b>The power to change the world rests with you and you alone:</b>
For too long people have believed themselves to be weak, or relied on
others to change the world for them. You’ll know that you’re fully awake
when you realize that you have infinite power to change the world by
simply living the change you want to see. First, you have to identify
the principles that you believe in and then go out and live by them. If
just a small minority took steps to do this, it would shake the
establishment to its core.<br />

how it affects human health, making healthy food choices for you and
your family can be difficult and confusing. There are a number of
specific foods; however, that you will want to avoid in almost every
circumstance because they provide virtually no health benefits while
posing plenty of health risks. Here are nine foods you should never eat
again if you care about preserving your long-term health:<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwxApXdSAAQNro5Wr5dRZ3oi5DABWv_V0AUEbKbPgUFC5nnC8XxX6RY9fMVRkxkDo6JKwdNlkadoqAOW_3ou-txntR3ljdUAvKBkGeGMtP9KmG4SImbOzc6xsztQGu1eX0yeKAz6VPjVBr/s1600/timthumb.php.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwxApXdSAAQNro5Wr5dRZ3oi5DABWv_V0AUEbKbPgUFC5nnC8XxX6RY9fMVRkxkDo6JKwdNlkadoqAOW_3ou-txntR3ljdUAvKBkGeGMtP9KmG4SImbOzc6xsztQGu1eX0yeKAz6VPjVBr/s320/timthumb.php.jpg" width="320" /></a><b>1) White bread, refined flours</b>. By definition, white
bread and refined flours in general are toxic for your body because
they have been stripped of virtually all vitamins, minerals, fiber, and
other important nutrients. Because of this, the body does not know how
to properly digest and assimilate these so-called foods, which can lead
to health problems. Refined white flour has also been bleached with
chlorine and brominated with bromide, two poisonous chemicals that have
been linked to causing thyroid and organ damage. (<a href="http://drlwilson.com/ARTICLES/BREAD.htm" target="_blank">http://drlwilson.com/ARTICLES/BREAD.htm</a>)<br />
<b>2) Conventional frozen meals</b>. Most
conventionally-prepared frozen meals are loaded with preservatives,
processed salt, hydrogenated oils and other artificial ingredients, not
to mention the fact that most frozen meals have been heavily pre-cooked,
rendering their nutrient content minimal at best (especially after
getting microwaved again at home). With the exception of a few truly
healthy frozen meal brands such as Amy’s and Organic Bistro, most frozen
meals are little more than disease in a box, so avoid them in favor of
fresh foods. (<a href="http://www.4us2be.com/health-fitness/frozen-food-is-bad-for-your-health/" target="_blank">http://www.4us2be.com</a>)<br />
<b>3) White rice</b>. Like white bread, white rice has been
stripped of most of its nutrients, and separated from the bran and
germ, two natural components that make up rice in its brown form. Even
so-called “fortified” white rice is nutritionally deficient, as the body
still processes this refined food much differently than brown rice,
which is absorbed more slowly and does not cause the same spike in blood
sugar that white rice does. (<a href="http://globalnaturopath.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=96:brown-rice-vs-white-rice&catid=44:wellness-secrets" target="_blank">http://globalnaturopath.com</a>)<br />
<b>4) Microwaveable popcorn</b>. This processed food is a
favorite among moviegoers and regular snackers alike, but it is one of
the unhealthiest foods you can eat. Practically every component of
microwaveable popcorn, from the genetically-modified (GM) corn kernels
to the processed salt and preservative chemicals used to enhance its
flavor, is unhealthy and disease-promoting. On top of this,
microwaveable popcorn contains a chemical known as diacetyl that can
actually destroy your lungs. If you love popcorn, stick with organic
kernels that you can pop yourself in a kettle and douse with healthy
ingredients like coconut oil, grass-fed butter, and Himalayan pink salt.
(<a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/034386_microwave_popcorn_diacetyl_lungs.html" target="_blank">http://www.naturalnews.com</a>)<br />
<b>5) Cured meat products with nitrates, nitrites</b>. Deli
meats, summer sausage, hot dogs, bacon, and many other meats sold at
the grocery store are often loaded with sodium nitrite and other
chemical preservatives that have been linked to causing heart disease
and cancer. If you eat meat, stick with uncured, nitrite and
nitrate-free varieties, and preferably those that come from organic,
grass-fed animals. (<a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/028824_processed_meat_heart_disease.html" target="_blank">http://www.naturalnews.com/028824_processed_meat_heart_disease.html</a>)<br />
<b>6) Most conventional protein, energy bars</b>. By the
way they are often marketed, it might seem as though protein and energy
bars are a strong addition to a healthy diet. But more often than not,
these meal replacements contain processed soy protein, refined sugar,
hydrogenated fat, and other harmful additives that contribute to chronic
illness. Not all protein and energy bars are bad, of course —
Thunderbird Energetica, Organic Food Bar, Boku Superfood, Vega Sport,
PROBAR, and Zing all make healthy protein and energy bars. Just be sure
to read the ingredient labels and know what you are buying.<br />
<b>7) Margarine</b>. Hidden in all sorts of processed <a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/foods.html">foods</a>,
margarine, a hydrogenated trans-fat oil, is something you will want to
avoid at all costs for your health. Contrary to popular belief, butter
and saturated fats in general are not unhealthy, especially when they
are derived from pastured animals that feed on grass rather than corn
and soy. And if animal-based fats are not for you, stick with
extra-virgin coconut oil or olive oil rather than margarine. (<a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/027865_saturated_fat_health.html" target="_blank">http://www.naturalnews.com/027865_saturated_fat_health.html</a>)<br />
<b>8) Soy milk and soy-based meat substitutes</b>. One of
the biggest health frauds of modern times, the soy craze is a fad that
you will want to skip. Besides the fact that nearly all non-organic soy
ingredients are of GM origin, most soy additives are processed using a
toxic chemical known as hexane, which is linked to causing birth
defects, reproductive problems, and cancer. Soy that has not been
fermented is also highly estrogenic, which can throw your natural
hormone balance out of whack. (<a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/026303_soy_protein_hexane.html" target="_blank">http://www.naturalnews.com/026303_soy_protein_hexane.html</a>)<br />
<b>9) “Diet” anything</b>. Many so-called “diet” products
on the market today contains artificial sweeteners like aspartame
(Equal) and sucralose (Splenda), both of which are linked to causing
neurological damage, gastrointestinal problems, and endocrine
disruption. Many diet products also contain added chemical flavoring
agents to take the place of fat and other <a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/natural.html">natural</a> components
that have been removed to artificially reduce calorie content. Instead,
stick with whole foods that are as close to nature as possible,
including high-fat foods grown the way nature intended, and your body
will respond surprisingly well. (<a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/034378_artificial_sweetener_disease_ASD_aspartame.html" target="_blank">http://www.naturalnews.com</a>)<br />

health is declining? Then sex is the answer to happiness, longevity and a
healthy body. You don’t agree?
<br />
Well, here is a list of the health benefits of sex, so do it daily to
experience complete pleasure.<br />
These are 16 reasons to have sex today!<br />
<br />
<b></b><br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgANLASZq3eeeIy9HnzF_7q-zK-dmhzwquOzFZ_W2YojBlo9D6_wbmWSi3_Z4vBZTmI9rTa01l0vbZiY4LiD7qBmDtu2D-zvtd_q_oBgbgjpfWrQvpVh8YQk9SZkuuH-VxLrpA10LvnITEW/s1600/Couple-love-31501502-1440-900.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgANLASZq3eeeIy9HnzF_7q-zK-dmhzwquOzFZ_W2YojBlo9D6_wbmWSi3_Z4vBZTmI9rTa01l0vbZiY4LiD7qBmDtu2D-zvtd_q_oBgbgjpfWrQvpVh8YQk9SZkuuH-VxLrpA10LvnITEW/s400/Couple-love-31501502-1440-900.jpg" width="400" /></a><b>1. De-stress</b><br />
Sex helps you reduce stress. When deep breathing exercises fail to de-stress you, sex will do the needful.<br />
During sex your body produces dopamine, a substance that fights
stress hormones, endorphins, aka “happiness hormones” and oxytocin, a
desire-enhancing hormone secreted by the pituitary gland.<br />
In a study, published in the Public Library of Science journal, three
neuroscience researchers conducted a test on male rats and found that
the sexually active rats were less anxious than rats with no sexual
activity.<br />
<b>2. Great Form of Exercise</b><br />
Making love is a form of physical activity. During intercourse, the
physiological changes in your body are consistent with a workout. You
must have noticed that the respiratory rate rises, which means you get
tired. Hence, you burn calories. If you have sex three times a week for
15 minutes (but we know you can do better than that) you’ll burn about
7.500 calories in a year. That’s the equivalent of jogging 75 miles!
Heavy breathing raises the amount of oxygen in your cells, and the
testosterone produced during sex keeps your bones and muscles strong.<br />
<b>3. Lowers high blood pressure</b><br />
Hugs and sex can improve your blood pressure. Sex reduces diastolic
blood pressure, that is, the bottom number while reading blood pressure.<br />
Researchers with the University of Paisley conducted an experiment on the same. They concluded that sex improves blood pressure.<br />
<b>4. Builds your immunity</b><br />
Trying to fight the sniffles? Sex is the answer to fight cold and other health problems; sex can boost your immunity.<br />
Immunoglobulin A, an antigen that fights the flu increases when the frequency of sex increases.<br />
<b>5. Makes You Look Younger</b><br />
Making love three times a week can make you look 10 years younger,
claims a Scottish researcher. “It’s good for you to have good sex,” says
David Weeks, a clinical neuropsychologist at the Royal Edinburgh
Hospital, whose study on the effects of sex on aging appears in his
book, <i>Secrets of the Superyoung</i>.<br />
<b>6. Healthy heart</b><br />
Sex helps you burn calories but it can also improve your heart. Sex will
take care of stroke and heart attacks, you just have to enjoy the
moment.<br />
Scientists with New England Research Institute examined the effect of
sex on the heart. The study concluded that men are 45 percent less
likely to experience cardiovascular diseases. But the study fails to
study the effect of sex on a woman’s heart.<br />
<b>7. Pain relief</b><br />
Pleasure is the measure to beat out the pain. Do you experience
migraines and body pain? Well sex is the answer. But if you experience
back pain, it is best to consult a doctor.<br />
Dr. George E. Erlich, an arthritis specialist from Philadelphia
conducted a study on the link between arthritis and sex. He narrows down
that patients who engaged in sex experienced less pain.<br />
<b>8. Builds trust and intimacy</b><br />
The act of sex spikes the hormone oxytocin; this hormone is responsible
for your happiness and love. If your feel your relationship is falling
out, there is trust or you’re worried that your partner will stray away,
then sex will dispel these doubts. The hormone oxytocin builds trust
and brings couples closer, and cupid too.<br />
<b>9. Less chances of cancer</b><br />
Regular ejaculation reduces your chances of developing prostate cancer.
In an Australian study men who ejaculated 21 times a month were least
likely to develop cancer. It is further supported by other researches
that sexual intercourse reduces the risk of prostrate cancer.<br />
<b>10. Stronger pelvic muscles</b><br />
Sex involves the use of several muscles; hence regular sexual
intercourse can help you develop stronger pelvic muscles. Further, since
the act of sex involves a range of muscles, it also helps strengthen
these muscles – for ex: quads, your core, and the upper back. Through
regular sex, you can also maintain a strong bladder and bowel function.<br />
Strong muscles, calorie burner, improves heart health – sex seems to take care of you.<br />
<b>11. Prostate Protection </b><br />
Most of the fluid you ejaculate is secreted by the prostate gland. If
you stop ejaculating, the fluid stays in the gland, which tends to
swell, causing lots of problems. Regular ejaculation will wash those
fluids out and ensure the well being of your prostate until old age.
Problems may also occur when you suddenly change the frequency of
ejaculations.<br />
<b>12. Induces sleep</b><br />
After that great, lovely workout you are bound to get good sleep. But
guess what? Sex works the same way as exercise. The increased heart rate
leads to increased post-coital relaxation. Sex could be the next thing
for insomniacs! So what really happens:<br />
- Sex can relax you, hence if you are already tired, the act of sex will induce sleep.<br />
- When men ejaculate they become lethargic, this can make them sleepy.<br />
<b>13. Regular periods</b><br />
Apparently sex can improve your menstrual cycle. Sex regulates hormones,
which in turn regulate the menstrual cycle. Sex reduces stress, which
is one of the reasons women miss their periods. Sex seems like a better
option than pills.<br />
<b>14. Prevents Erectile Dysfunctions</b><br />
Fifty per cent of men older than 40 suffer from erectile dysfunctions
and all young men fear the moment when they won’t be able to get it up
any more. The best medicine against impotence is…sex. An erection keeps
the blood flowing through your penile arteries, so the tissue stays
healthy. Plus, doctors compare an erection to an athletic reflex: the
more you train the more capable you are to perform.<br />
<b>15. Live longer</b><br />
A healthy heart, stronger muscles, increased circulation of oxygen and
happiness are some of the factors that add life to the years and as a
result – years to your life.<br />
A study published in the British Medical Journal reveals that men who
engaged in sex often live twice as those who rarely had any action.<br />
<b>16. Healthier semen</b><br />
If you’re trying to conceive, you increase the volume of semen if you
have sex regularly. Regular sex replaces old sperms from the testicles.
If there is a natural build of sperms it can lead to DNA damage.<br />

crashes happening in the financial world right now. Just like we saw
back in 2008, it is taking stocks a little bit of extra time to catch up
with economic reality. But almost everywhere else you look, there are
signs that a financial avalanche has begun.<br />

<br />
Bitcoins are crashing, gold and silver are
plunging, the price of oil and the overall demand for energy continue to
decline, markets all over Europe are collapsing and consumer confidence
in the United States just had the biggest miss relative to expectations
that has ever been recorded. In many ways, all of this is extremely
reminiscent of 2008.
<br />
Other than the Bitcoin collapse, almost everything else that is
happening now also happened back then. So does that mean that a
horrible stock market crash is coming as well? Without a doubt, one is
coming at some point. The only question is whether it will be sooner or
later. Meanwhile, there are a whole lot of other economic crashes that
deserve out attention at the moment.<br />
The following are 11 economic crashes that are happening RIGHT NOW…<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.blogger.com/null" name="more"></a><b>#1 Bitcoins</b><br />
As I write this, the price of Bitcoins has fallen <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-loses-77-of-value-from-high-2013-4" target="_blank" title="more than 70 percent">more than 70 percent</a>
from where it was on Wednesday. This is one of the reasons why I have
never recommended Bitcoins to anyone. Yes, alternative currencies are a
good thing, but there are a lot of big problems with Bitcoins. Why
would anyone want to invest in a currency that could lose 70 percent of
its purchasing power in just two days? Why would anyone want to invest
in a currency where a single person can arbitrarily decide to suspend
trading in that currency at any time?<br />
An article <a href="http://www.naturalnews.com/039880_bitcoin_bubble_panic_selling_accounts_frozen.html" target="_blank" title="by Mike Adams of Natural News">by Mike Adams of Natural News</a> described some of the things that we have learned about Bitcoins this week…<br />
<blockquote>
#1) The bitcoin infrastructure cannot handle a selloff. Once the rush for the exits gains momentum, <b>you will not be able to get out.</b> Only those who sell early will be able to exit the market.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
#2) The bitcoin infrastructure is subject to the whims of
just one person running MTGox who can arbitrarily decide to shut it
down whenever he thinks the market needs a “cooling period.” This is
nearly equivalent to a <b>financial dictatorship</b> where one person calls the shots.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
#3) Every piece of bad news will be “spun” by exchanges
like MTGox into good-sounding news. As bitcoin was crashing yesterday by
60% in value in mere hours, MTGox announced it was a “victim of our own
success!” So while bitcoin holders watched $1 billion in market
valuation evaporate, MTGox called it a success. Gee, then what would you
call it when bitcoin loses 99%? A “raging” success?</blockquote>
<b>#2 Gold</b><br />
The price of gold was down <a href="http://buzz.money.cnn.com/2013/04/12/gold-plunges/?iid=HP_LN" target="_blank" title="by about 4 percent">by about 4 percent</a>
on Friday. Gold has now fallen below $1500 an ounce for the first time
since July 2011. Overall, the price of gold has fallen by about 10
percent since the beginning of the year, and it is <a href="http://www.cnbc.com/id/100636206" target="_blank" title="about 22 percent">about 22 percent</a> below the record high set back in September 2011.<br />
Yes, the price of gold <a href="http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/why-are-the-banksters-telling-us-to-sell-our-gold-when-they-are-hoarding-gold-like-crazy" target="_blank" title="is likely being pushed down">is likely being pushed down</a>
by the banksters. And yes, gold is a fantastic investment for the
long-term. But there will be times when the price of gold does fall
dramatically just like we saw back in 2008.<br />
<b>#3 Silver</b><br />
The price of silver fell title=”by about 5 percent”>by about 5
percent on Friday. If it falls much more it is going to be at a level
that presents a historically good buying opportunity.<br />
Just like gold, there will be times when the price of silver swings
dramatically. But the truth is that silver is probably an even better
long-term investment than gold is.<br />
<b>#4 Oil</b><br />
The price of oil declined <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/commodities-are-getting-massacred-today-2013-4" target="_blank" title="by about 3 percent">by about 3 percent</a>
on Friday. Many will consider this a positive thing, but just remember
what happened back in 2008. Back then, the price of oil dropped like a
rock. If the price of oil gets below $80, that could very well be a
clear signal that a major economic crisis is about to happen.<br />
<b>#5 Consumer Confidence</b><br />
As I mentioned above, consumer confidence in the U.S. just had its
biggest miss relative to expectations that has ever been recorded. The
following is from an article posted on Zero Hedge <a href="http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-12/consumer-confidence-plummets-nine-month-low-biggest-miss-consensus-record" target="_blank" title="on Friday">on Friday</a>…<br />
<blockquote>
Well if this doesn’t send the market into all-time record
high territory, nothing ever will: seconds ago the UMich Consumer
Confidence plummeted from 78.6 to 72.3, on expectations of an unchanged
78.6 print. This was not only a 9 month low in the index, but more
importantly <b>the biggest miss to expectations in recorded history! </b></blockquote>
<b>#6 Retirement Accounts</b><br />
According to <a href="https://www.wellsfargo.com/press/2013/20130411_IncreaseinParticipantsTakingLoans" target="_blank" title="Wells Fargo">Wells Fargo</a>, the number of Americans taking loans from their 401(k) accounts has risen by 28 percent over the past year…<br />
<blockquote>
Through an analysis of participants enrolled in Wells
Fargo-administered defined contribution plans, the bank announced today
that in the fourth quarter of 2012, there was a 28 percent increase in
the number of people taking loans out from their 401(k) and that the
average new loan balances increased to $7,126 from those taken out in
the fourth quarter of 2011 – a 7% increase from $6,662.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
Of the participants who took out loans, the greatest
percentage were to people in their 50s (34.2%), followed by those in
their 60s (28.9%) and then by those in their 40s (27.3%). The increase
among participants in their 50s was nearly double the increase among
those under 30. This is based on an analysis of a subset of 1.9 million
eligible participants in retirement plans that Wells Fargo administers.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
“The increased loan activity particularly among older
participants is concerning because those are the years when workers can
start to make ‘catch-up’ contributions and really need to focus on
preparing for retirement,” said Laurie Nordquist, director of Wells
Fargo Retirement.</blockquote>
<b>#7 Casino Spending</b><br />
Casino spending is declining again. Many people (including myself)
would consider this to be a good thing, but casino spending is also one
of the most reliable indicators about the overall health of the
economy. Remember, casino spending crashed during the last financial
crisis as well. That is why it is so alarming that casino spending is
now back to levels that we have not seen <a href="http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-09/broke-and-broker-us-casino-spending-tumbling-back-great-recession-levels" target="_blank" title="since the last recession">since the last recession</a>.<br />
<b>#8 Employment In Greece</b><br />
Over in Europe, things just continue to get worse. According to
numbers that were just released, the unemployment rate in Greece has
soared to <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financialcrisis/9986806/Greek-unemployment-hits-a-fresh-record.html" target="_blank" title="27.2 percent">27.2 percent</a>,
which was up from 25.7 percent the previous month. That means that the
unemployment rate in Greece rose by 1.5 percent in just a single
month. That is not just a crash – that is an avalanche of unemployment.<br />
<b>#9 European Financial Stocks</b><br />
European financial stocks have been hit particularly hard lately.
And for good reason actually – most of the major banks in Europe are
essentially insolvent at this point. This week, European financial
stocks fell <a href="http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-08/european-financials-drop-7-month-lows" target="_blank" title="to seven month lows">to seven month lows</a>, and this is probably only just the beginning.<br />
<b>#10 Spanish Bankruptcies</b><br />
According to <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/04/08/us-spain-bankruptcy-idUSBRE9370PE20130408?feedType=RSS&feedName=businessNews" target="_blank" title="Reuters">Reuters</a>, the number of Spanish companies going bankrupt has risen by 45 percent over the past year…<br />
<blockquote>
A record number of Spanish companies went bust in the
first quarter of 2013 as companies remained under intense pressure from
tight credit conditions and meager demand, a study showed on Monday.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
The 2,564 firms filing for insolvency proceedings in
first three months of the year was a 10 percent rise from the previous
quarter and a 45 percent increase on the same period in 2012, the survey
by credit rating agency Axesor said.</blockquote>
<b>#11 Demand For Energy</b><br />
Just like we saw back in 2008, the overall demand for energy in the
United States is falling rapidly. There are some shocking charts that
prove this that were recently posted on Zero Hedge that you can find <a href="http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-06/these-charts-better-not-represent-true-state-us-economy" target="_blank" title="right here">right here</a>.<br />
Yes, it is good for people to use a bit less energy, but it is also a
clear indication that economic activity is really starting to slow
down.<br />
But despite everything that you have just read, the Dow and the S&P 500 have been setting new <a href="http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/04/10/us-markets-stocks-idUSBRE93006T20130410" target="_blank" title="record highs">record highs</a>.<br />
And if you listen to the <a href="http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/tag/mainstream-media" target="_blank" title="mainstream media">mainstream media</a>, you would think that this <a href="http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/tag/stock-market-bubble" target="_blank" title="stock market bubble">stock market bubble</a> can continue indefinitely.<br />
Fortunately, there are a few voices of reason out there. For example, just check out what Marc Faber recently told <a href="http://www.cnbc.com/id/100623607" target="_blank" title="CNBC">CNBC</a>…<br />
<blockquote>
In the near-term, the U.S. stock market is overbought and
adding that any more near-term gains portend big trouble for the
market, “The Gloom, Boom & Doom Report” publisher Marc Faber told
CNBC on Monday.</blockquote>
<blockquote>
“If we continue to move up, the probability of a crash
becomes higher,” Faber predicted in a “Squawk Box” interview, saying it
could happen “sometime in the second half of this year.”</blockquote>
As I have written about <a href="http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/the-dow-hits-an-all-time-high-translation-a-bubble-is-always-biggest-right-before-it-bursts" target="_blank" title="previously">previously</a>,
a bubble is always the biggest right before it bursts. I hope that we
still have at least a little bit more time before it happens, but I
wouldn’t count on it.<br />
The <a href="http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/why-is-the-world-economy-doomed-the-global-financial-pyramid-scheme-by-the-numbers" target="_blank" title="economic fundamentals">economic fundamentals</a>
tell us that the stock market should be plunging, not rising. At some
point the boys over on Wall Street will get the message and the market
will catch up to reality very, very rapidly.<br />
But for the moment, the American people are feeling really good. According to <a href="http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/04/12/mood-of-the-nation-six-year-high-in-optimism-cnn-poll-shows/comment-page-4/#comment-4723493" target="_blank" title="CNN">CNN</a>, Americans are now more optimistic than they have been in six years…<br />
<blockquote>
As the stock market continues to show record highs, the
number of Americans who say things are going well in the country has
reached 50% for the first time in more than six years, according to a
new national survey.</blockquote>
So what do you think will happen for the rest of the year?<br />
Do you think that the good times will continue to roll, or do you believe that the bubble is about to burst?<br />

Philosophers have a license to speculate about everything from
metaphysics to morality, and this means they can shed light on some of
the basic questions of existence. The bad news? These are questions that
may always lay just beyond the limits of our comprehension.</span></span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Our
presence in the universe is something too bizarre for words. The
mundaneness of our daily lives cause us take our existence for granted —
but every once in awhile we're cajoled out of that complacency and
enter into a profound state of existential awareness, and we ask: Why is
there all this <i style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">stuff</i> in the universe, and why is it governed by such exquisitely precise laws? <i style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">And why should anything exist at all?</i> We inhabit a universe with such things as spiral galaxies, the aurora borealis, and SpongeBob Squarepants. And as Sean Carroll notes,
"Nothing about modern physics explains why we have these laws rather
than some totally different laws, although physicists sometimes talk
that way — a mistake they might be able to avoid if they took
philosophers more seriously." And as for the philosophers, the best that
they can come up with is the anthropic principle —
the notion that our particular universe appears the way it does by
virtue of our presence as observers within it — a suggestion that has an
uncomfortably tautological ring to it.</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"></span></span></h4>
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">This
the classic Cartesian question. It essentially asks, how do we know
that what we see around us is the real deal, and not some grand illusion
perpetuated by an unseen force (who René Descartes referred to as the
hypothesized ‘evil demon')? More recently, the question has been
reframed as the "brain in a vat" problem, or the Simulation Argument. And it could very well be that we're the products of an elaborate
simulation. A deeper question to ask, therefore, is whether the
civilization running the simulation is also in a simulation — a kind of
supercomputer regression (or simulationception). Moreover, we may not be
who we think we are. Assuming that the people running the simulation
are also taking part in it, our true identities may be temporarily
suppressed, to heighten the realness of the experience. This
philosophical conundrum also forces us to re-evaluate what we mean by
"real." Modal realists argue
that if the universe around us seems rational (as opposed to it being
dreamy, incoherent, or lawless), then we have no choice but to declare
it as being real and genuine. Or maybe, as Cipher said after eating a
piece of "simulated" steak in <i style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">The Matrix</i>, "Ignorance is bliss."</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Also
called the dilemma of determinism, we do not know if our actions are
controlled by a causal chain of preceding events (or by some other
external influence), or if we're truly free agents making decisions of
our own volition. Philosophers (and now some scientists)
have been debating this for millennia, and with no apparent end in
sight. If our decision making is influenced by an endless chain of
causality, then determinism is true and we don't have free will. But if
the opposite is true, what's called indeterminism, then our actions must
be random — what some argue is still not free will. Conversely,
libertarians (no, not political libertarians, those are other people),
make the case for compatibilism — the idea that free will is logically
compatible with deterministic views of the universe. Compounding the
problem are advances in neuroscience showing that our brains make decisions before we're even conscious of them.
But if we don't have free will, then why did we evolve consciousness
instead of zombie-minds? Quantum mechanics makes this problem even more
complicated by suggesting that we live in a universe of probability, and
that determinism of any sort is impossible. And as Linas Vepstas has
said, "Consciousness seems to be intimately and inescapably tied to the
perception of the passage of time, and indeed, the idea that the past is
fixed and perfectly deterministic, and that the future is unknowable.
This fits well, because if the future were predetermined, then there'd
be no free will, and no point in the participation of the passage of
time."</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Simply
put, we cannot know if God exists or not. Both the atheists and
believers are wrong in their proclamations, and the agnostics are right.
True agnostics are simply being Cartesian about it, recognizing the
epistemological issues involved and the limitations of human inquiry. We
do not know enough about the inner workings of the universe to make any
sort of grand claim about the nature of reality and whether or not a
Prime Mover exists somewhere in the background. Many people defer to
naturalism — the suggestion that the universe runs according to
autonomous processes — but that doesn't preclude the existence of a
grand designer who set the whole thing in motion (what's called deism).
And as mentioned earlier, we may live in a simulation where the hacker
gods control all the variables. Or perhaps the gnostics are right and
powerful beings exist in some deeper reality that we're unaware of.
These aren't necessarily the omniscient, omnipotent gods of the
Abrahamic traditions — but they're (hypothetically) powerful beings
nonetheless. Again, these aren't scientific questions <i style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">per se</i> — they're more Platonic thought experiments that force us to confront the limits of human experience and inquiry.</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Before
everyone gets excited, this is not a suggestion that we'll all end up
strumming harps on some fluffy white cloud, or find ourselves shoveling
coal in the depths of Hell for eternity. Because we cannot ask the dead
if there's anything on the other side, we're left guessing as to what
happens next. Materialists assume that there's no life after death, but
it's just that — an assumption that cannot necessarily be proven.
Looking closer at the machinations of the universe (or multiverse),
whether it be through a classical Newtonian/Einsteinian lens, or through
the spooky filter of quantum mechanics, there's no reason to believe
that we only have one shot at this thing called life. It's a question of
metaphysics and the possibility that the cosmos (what Carl Sagan
described as "all that is or ever was or ever will be") cycles and
percolates in such a way that lives are infinitely recycled. Hans
Moravec put it best when,
speaking in relation to the quantum Many Worlds Interpretation, said
that non-observance of the universe is impossible; we must always find
ourselves alive and observing the universe in some form or another. This
is highly speculative stuff, but like the God problem, is one that
science cannot yet tackle, leaving it to the philosophers.</span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">There's
a difference between understanding the world objectively (or at least
trying to, anyway) and experiencing it through an exclusively objective
framework. This is essentially the problem of qualia — the notion that
our surroundings can only be observed through the filter of our senses
and the cogitations of our minds. Everything you know, everything you've
touched, seen, and smelled, has been filtered through any number of
physiological and cognitive processes. Subsequently, your subjective
experience of the world is unique. In the classic example, the
subjective appreciation of the color red may vary from person to person.
The only way you could possibly know is if you were to somehow observe
the universe from the "conscious lens" of another person in a sort of <i style="box-sizing: border-box; line-height: inherit;">Being John Malkovich</i> kind
of way — not anything we're likely going to be able to accomplish at
any stage of our scientific or technological development. Another way of
saying all this is that the universe can only be observed through a
brain (or potentially a machine mind), and by virtue of that, can only
be interpreted subjectively. But given that the universe appears to be
coherent and (somewhat) knowable, should we continue to assume that its
true objective quality can never be observed or known? It's worth noting
that much of Buddhist philosophy is predicated on this fundamental
limitation (what they call emptiness), and a complete antithesis to Plato's idealism.</span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span></div>

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Essentially,
we'll never truly be able to distinguish between "right" and "wrong"
actions. At any given time in history, however, philosophers,
theologians, and politicians will claim to have discovered the best way
to evaluate human actions and establish the most righteous code of
conduct. But it's never that easy. Life is far too messy and complicated
for there to be anything like a universal morality or an absolutist
ethics. The Golden Rule is great (the idea that you should treat others
as you would like them to treat you), but it disregards moral autonomy
and leaves no room for the imposition of justice (such as jailing
criminals), and can even be used to justify oppression (Immanuel Kant
was among its most staunchest critics). Moreover, it's a highly
simplified rule of thumb that doesn't provision for more complex
scenarios. For example, should the few be spared to save the many? Who
has more moral worth: a human baby or a full-grown great ape? And as
neuroscientists have shown, morality is not only a culturally-ingrained
thing, it's also a part of our psychologies (the Trolly Problem is
the best demonstration of this). At best, we can only say that morality
is normative, while acknowledging that our sense of right and wrong
will change over time.</span></span></div>

the universe (such as Newtonian laws)? Mathematical structures can
consist of numbers, sets, groups, and points — but are they real
objects, or do they simply describe relationships that necessarily exist
in all structures? Plato argued that numbers were real (it doesn't
matter that you can't "see" them), but formalists insisted that they
were merely formal systems (well-defined constructions of abstract
thought based on math). This is essentially an ontological problem,
where we're left baffled about the true nature of the universe and which
aspects of it are human constructs and which are truly tangible.</span></span></div>

<br />
Inner peace is a journey more are
finding themselves on daily. Everyday brings the collective on Earth
closer to recognizing it’s unlimited infinite potential and ability to
create something new for planet Earth and it’s people. Many of us are
beginning to notice that operating from a place of love, peace and
understanding is the key to creating change. This makes it more
practical, being the change you would like to see in the world is a
journey in itself. From this space, we can use the information and
events that have been manifesting in front of us to see more clearly,
and to recognize that there are concepts of reality we have yet to
understand. Most information that is presented to us comes from a place
of fear, violence and consciousness manipulation. When I say
consciousness manipulation, I mean the reality and environment that we
perceive around ourselves that gives rise to our truth has been
influenced by an elite group of people and the corporations they run.
This reality has been influenced and used in a way that distorts our
perception of reality in order to have us operating in a robotic like
existence without ever questioning anything. Who is responsible for
the world we see today? We are, we are the tool used to create whatever
reality we desire here on planet Earth. Our consciousness is open to
manipulation until we wake up and realize that not everything is as it
seems. Once we step out of our programmed like existence and see what
has really been taking place on the planet, the ones manipulating us
hold zero power and we can begin to create a planet that we truly
desire. Are our desires and wants really ours, or have they just been
programmed into us?
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Cognitive dissonance is a term used in
modern psychology to describe the feeling of discomfort when holding two
or more conflicting ideas, beliefs, or values. It suggests that we have
an inner drive to hold onto all of our beliefs and attitudes to avoid
feelings of discomfort and instability. Sometimes people hold onto a
belief system that is very strong and the moment they are presented with
evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence that was
presented cannot be accepted. When presented with evidence that works
against a belief system, it has the potential to create a very
uncomfortable feeling for the individual, this is called cognitive
dissonance. A powerful motive to maintain cognitive consistency can give
rise to irrational behavior and thoughts. We hold
many cognition’s about the world and ourselves; when they clash, a
discrepancy is created, resulting in a state of tension. The experience
of cognitive dissonance can be quite unpleasant, we are forced to reduce
or eliminate it, or we can choose to let go of the belief system we
hold onto and open ourselves up to new possibilities.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Humanity has been programmed to believe
so many different lies on so many different levels. Today, the entire
planet is going through a mass transformation. One aspect of this
transformation is transparency, our minds eye is starting to see past
the manipulation that is beamed at us everyday through our mainstream
media and television. Here is a list of 4 Articles that outline a few of
these new truths that are emerging into the consciousness of all human
beings. They present challenges and it’s sometimes fearful for the mind
to take in. Most of us have been programmed for so long, most of us have
learned what our parents were taught, and what there parents taught
them. Opening up to and accepting new concepts of reality can be hard
and almost impossible for some. The term ‘ignorance is bliss’ holds no
credence here, as you can see:</div>

1. The fact that protein from animal products is more harmful than from plants (<a href="http://www.collective-evolution.com/2011/12/16/the-protein-myth-eat-your-meat/">Click Here for Article</a>).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
2. The fact that Fluoride used in our water supply and dental practices is a toxic substance with zero benefit to our teeth( <a href="http://www.collective-evolution.com/2011/12/17/fluoride-myth/">Click Here for Article</a>).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
3. The fact that Dairy products are the cause for many health related problems (<a href="http://www.collective-evolution.com/2011/12/15/the-dairy-myth-%E2%80%9Cmilk-does-a-body-good%E2%80%9D/">Click Here for Article</a>)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
4. The fact that UFOs and extraterrestrials exist, and there is an overwhelming amount of evidence to show it (<a href="http://www.collective-evolution.com/2012/11/24/the-ufo-myth-1ufos-do-not-exist/">Click Here for Article</a>)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
5. The fact that zero-point energy can be accessed, and we do not need an ‘energy industry’ like the one we have today( <a href="http://www.collective-evolution.com/2012/12/04/free-energy-device-yes-they-are-real/">Click Here for Article</a>)</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Be love. the energy that is created from
a place of peace and love can be tremendously beneficial to the human
race. Empty your being of the gasoline you carry, and the situations or
people that hold matches will become non existent. From this place, you
can begin to see that everyone and everything is interconnected,
everyone is just a facet of everyone else. All of us make up one large
whole, and that one large whole cannot operate effectively until we
harmonize. Everyone that comes into your life is playing a role for you,
teaching you lessons. Whoever is meant to be in your life will, it all
depends on what experiences serve best for the type of growth you and
your soul desire.</div>

<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 115%;">"It's hard to be
humble," says an old country song, "when you're perfect in every
way." Of course, few people actually think they're perfect in every way.
But it can still be pretty hard to be humble, especially if you live in a society
that encourages competition and individuality. Yet, even in such a culture,
humility remains an important virtue. Learning to be humble is of paramount
importance in most spiritual traditions, and humility can help you develop more
fully and enjoy richer relationships with others.</span></span></div>

just a few, but all diseases can heal with the correct diet and
absolutely no medication. Your body is capable of handling and
recovering from any ailment provided you give it the appropriate terrain
to heal. Supplements may at times be beneficial, but your true medicine
is food and always has been.
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
The next time your blood pressure shoots up, remember that your body is
capable of controlling it without a trip to the GP. Dr Nandita Shah, a
Pondicherry-based homeopath, says simple dietary changes can help
prevent, and more importantly reverse, ailments like osteoporosis,
diabetes and even high blood pressure without popping pills.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmUwmbnRgSz3U1VEiQCaIeSr5TK15BJzi-ukem2RCpUVZX3cjLRBObMew8CDnRaofCF1nAPVzSlNsfV1mSifpYHBw9Wg_Nd7wCZw4NrBXrH8rrMVgigYvMdmjrc5nTjYGLqjh2UDK0Nq7/s1600/timthumb.php.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzmUwmbnRgSz3U1VEiQCaIeSr5TK15BJzi-ukem2RCpUVZX3cjLRBObMew8CDnRaofCF1nAPVzSlNsfV1mSifpYHBw9Wg_Nd7wCZw4NrBXrH8rrMVgigYvMdmjrc5nTjYGLqjh2UDK0Nq7/s320/timthumb.php.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
Shah, who has been a homeopathic practitioner for 30 years, says the
biggest hurdle most of us encounter is that we fail to understand our
body. “If you put kerosene in a car that runs on petrol, the car will
break down,” Shah says, adding that the human body functions better if
it consumes foods that are a better fit.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
She offers an instance. Our body is mostly alkaline, she explains. A pH
(potential Hydrogen) level between 1 and 6.9 is considered acidic, while
one between 7.1 and 14 is marked alkaline. The human body’s natural pH
level stands at 7.45, making it alkaline. All fruits and vegetables,
natural juices like coconut water are alkaline, which make them a better
nutrition fit than say animal proteins, tea, coffee, sugar, alcohol,
and packaged foods that have high acidic levels. An imbalance in pH
levels, says Shah, can lead to a disruption in cellular activity,
causing health problems that range from heartburn to heart disease.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
Nutrients in foods do not work alone in isolation, instead they work
together as a powerhouse team in what’s called synergy. We’re often so
focused on single nutrients like vitamin c and calcium, that we don’t
consider that maybe it’s how these nutrients work with one another that
make them so great.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
The Journal of Nutrition in 2004 conducted a study on rats that were fed
tomatoes and broccoli. Prostate tumors grew less in rats fed a
combination of tomatoes and broccoli versus rats who were fed tomatoes
and broccoli on its own. They even isolated and removed the cancer
fighting substances found in tomatoes and broccoli and fed them to the
rats, but they were ineffective. The point I’m trying to make is, a
lycopene (the potent nutrient in tomatoes) supplement might be useful,
but the whole tomato is better, and that tomato with a bit of fat is
even better, but that tomato with a bit of fat and some broccoli is so
much better. Why exactly? Scientists are still unsure but it’s all
attributed to food synergy.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>Eat Right To Be Healthy </b></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>Osteoporosis cause: </b>Calcium deficiency is not the cause
of this condition. It’s a diet that’s either very rich in acidic foods
or high in protein. Proteins are broken down into amino acids which are
acid yeilding. And so, consuming large amounts of animal protein results
in the body extracting calcium from the bones to neutralise the effect
of acids. When the lost calcium is not restored, it causes osteoporosis
over a period of time.<br />
<b>Food solution:</b> Eat foods rich
in vitamin D (it helps the body absorb calcium from foods), eliminate
acidic foods like colas and caffeine. Include more fruits and vegetables
in your meals. Green leafy veggies are rich in Vitamin K, and help
rebuild bones.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>Diabetes cause: </b>Sugar is not the cause of diabetes,
rather high blood sugar is the result of diabetes. The real cause of
type 2 diabetes is the presence of fats in muscle cells. Beta cells
present in the pancreas monitor the bloodstream for glucose. When blood
sugar levels rise after meals, the beta cells respond by secreting
insulin. Insulin helps in the further absorption of glucose. Consumption
of unhealthy fats causes beta cells to lose their ability to sense
glucose in the blood, allowing blood sugar to rise unnaturally.<br />
<b>Food solution: </b>Avoid
unhealthy fats found in fried foods, packaged foods, butter, meat,
whole fat dairy products, and most vegetable oils. Any fat that comes
with fibre is good for you. Think peanuts, cashew, and sunflower, sesame
and pumpkin seeds.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>Acne cause:</b> Eating processed foods increases the body’s
insulin levels, causing skin inflammation and breakouts. An imbalance
of Omega-3 fats in the diet can also aggravate acne. Omega-3 fats are
known to counter the effect of inflammatory chemicals that lead to
breakouts.<br />
<b>Food solution: </b>Have a diet that’s low on
sugar and rich in whole grains, fibre, fruits and vegetables. It will
balance the body’s insulin levels. Go for Omega-3 rich walnuts,
flaxseeds, spinach and strawberries. Avoid fried and greasy foods.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>High blood pressure cause: </b>Blood pressure is the force
ex- erted against the walls of the arteries as blood flows through them.
If a person has high blood pressure, it means that the walls of the
arteries are receiving too much pressure repeatedly. Consumption of
unhealthy fats leads to a build up of cholesterol deposits along the
artery walls, thinning the passage for blood flow, and thereby adding to
the pressure.<br />
<b>Food solution: </b>Adopt a two-pronged
approach — stay away from unhealthy fats found in fried and packaged
foods, and boost the intake of potassium, a mineral that reduces the
effect of sodium on blood pressure levels. Mushrooms, bananas, dark
green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, oranges and dates are high in
potassium.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>Asthma cause:</b> Asthma is an allergic response of the
body to a substance, such as foreign dust particles or foods that cause
swelling or inflammation of the airways. High levels of histamine, a
chemical messenger that helps direct the body’s response to a foreign
invader, have been found to inflammate respiratory airways.<br />
<b>Food solution: </b>Although
no diet can guarantee the reversal of asthma, avoiding foods that up
histamine levels can help control it. These include: alcohol, vinegar,
ketchup, confectionary made with yeast, sour cream and fermented and
processed foods.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<b>Colour your plate right</b></div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
The best way to ensure that your diet is balanced is to colour code it.
Pigmentation is what lends colour to fruits and vegetables, and also
contains healthy nutrients. The deeper the colour, the higher the
percentage of a specific nutrient the food item has. Purple coloured
foods like plums and aubergines have phytochemicals called anthocyanins
and resveratrol that fight ageing, reduce blood pressure and protect the
body against liver diseases.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
Orange-coloured foods such as oranges and carrots contain betacarotene
and betacryptoxanthin that keep the skin and eyes healthy, and also
protect against arthritis. Yellow foods such as bananas and sweet corn
contain carotenoids that boost the immune system and keep the heart
healthy. White foods, including garlic, onions, cauliflower and
mushrooms, are rich in vitamin C, and antibiotic and antifungal
compounds that fight cell damage and keep the fighter white blood cells
healthy. Red foods like tomatoes and watermelons contain the powerful
antioxidant lycopene which acts as an internal sunscreen and protects
you from sunburn, prevents osteoporosis and heart diseases.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
Greens such as peas, broccoli and spinach are packed with sulforaphane,
isothiocyanate, and indoles which stimulate the liver to keep cancer
producing chemicals in check.</div>
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; font-family: georgia,'palatino linotype',palatino,'times new roman',times,serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
Always choose real foods over processed foods. If the food didn’t grow
in a garden or a farm, then it’s not a real food. This means choose the
potato over the potato chips. Eat an orange rather than drink orange
juice. Eat fruit instead of fruit snacks. If you’re a meat eater, eat

message comes with a picture showing two skeletons buried in ground,
appearing to kiss each other - claiming that it is a 6000 years old kiss
of two lovers found in Hasanlu, an archaeological excavation site in
Iran. Although the picture is genuine and such a discovery was in fact
made in Hasanlu, the skeletons are not 6000 years old.<br /><br />Teppe
Hasanlu, located in northwest Iran is a famous archaeological site of an
ancient city and was excavated in 10 seasons between 1956 and 1974 by a
team from the University Museum, University of Pennsylvania and the
Metropolitan Museum of New York. Over the years they found many
interesting discoveries in Hasanlu. One among them are these skeleton
couple found in 1972. The source of this image, the Penn Museum blog
called it as 'The Lovers' and describes it as:<br /><br />The Lovers’ from 1972 season at Hasanlu<br /><br />Hasanlu

only feature is a stone slab under the head of the skeleton on the left
hand side (SK335).<br />Penn Museum Image #97482.<br /><br />A list of
important events in the website of the University of Pennsylvania
mentions that the University Museum has exhibited these 'Hasanlu Lovers'
skeletons in 1974.<br /><br />The University Museum exhibits the “Hasanlu Lovers,” a pair of entwined skeletons who died together in about 8oo B.C.<br />This
makes it clear that the pair of entwined skeletons were discovered in
1972 in Hasanlu, and 'The Lovers' as they are termed were estimated to
have died together around 800 B.C, i.e. about 2813 years ago, not 6000
years as mentioned in the message. Of course, the skeletons do appear
like they are kissing each other before they died - as if to signify
that love is eternal.<br /><br />Source:<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="http://www.hoaxorfact.com/Inspirational/6000-year-old-kiss-found-in-hasanlu-iran-facts-analysis.html" rel="nofollow nofollow" style="color: #3b5998; cursor: pointer; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank">http://www.hoaxorfact.com/<wbr></wbr><span class="word_break" style="display: inline-block;"></span>Inspirational/<wbr></wbr><span class="word_break" style="display: inline-block;"></span>6000-year-old-kiss-found-in-has<wbr></wbr><span class="word_break" style="display: inline-block;"></span>anlu-iran-facts-analysis.html</a></span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00706673028962417416noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2435215812400497482.post-89345375638113365852013-05-13T01:28:00.001+02:002013-05-22T18:45:03.085+02:00 Motivating Story of an 87-Year Old Woman<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

An 87 Year Old College Student Named Rose</div>
<br />
The first day of school our professor introduced himself and challenged us to get to know someone we didn’t already k<span class="text_exposed_show">now. I
stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder. I
turned round to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being.<br /><br />She said, “Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I’m eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?”<br /><br />I laughed and enthusiastically responded, “Of course you may!” and she gave me a giant squeeze.<br /><br />“Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?” I asked.<br /><br />She jokingly replied, “I’m here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids…”<br /><br />“No seriously,” I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.<br /><br />“I always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting one!” she told me.<br /><br />After
class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate
milkshake.We became instant friends. Every day for the next three
months, we would leave class together and talk nonstop. I was always
mesmerized listening to this “time machine” as she shared her wisdom and
experience with me.<br /><br />Over the course of the year, Rose became a
campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went. She loved to
dress up and she reveled in the attention bestowed upon her from the
other students. She was living it up.<br /><br />At the end of the semester
we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet. I’ll never forget what
she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium.<br /><br />As
she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five
cards on the floor. Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into
the microphone and simply said, “I’m sorry I’m so jittery. I gave up
beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I’ll never get my speech
back in order so let me just tell<br />you what I know.”<br /><br />As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, “We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.
There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy, and
achieving success. You have to laugh and find humor every day.<br /><br />You’ve
got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die.We have so many
people walking around who are dead and don’t even know it!There is a
huge difference between growing older and growing up.<br /><br />If
you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don’t
do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old.<br /><br />If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight.<br /><br />Anybody
can grow older. That doesn’t take any talent or ability. The idea is to
grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets.<br /><br />The
elderly usually don’t have regrets for what we did, but rather for
things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets.”<br /><br />She concluded her speech by courageously singing “The Rose.”<br /><br />She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives.<br /><br />At
the year’s end Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those
years ago. One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.<br /><br />Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example that it’s never
too late to be all you can possibly be .When you finish reading this,
please send this peaceful word of advice to your friends and family,
they’ll really enjoy it!<br /><br />These words have been passed along in loving memory of ROSE.<br /><br />REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS<br />OPTIONAL.</span>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00706673028962417416noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2435215812400497482.post-83056463194733777002013-05-12T19:33:00.000+02:002013-05-22T18:45:03.077+02:00Rand Paul: Obama Helping 'Anti-American Globalists Plot Against Our Constitution' <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Rand Paul on Saturday accused President Obama of working with "anti-American globalists" to "plot against our Constitution."</span><br />
<br />
The email blast was sent on behalf of the National Association on Gun Rights and heavily criticized the president's gun control efforts. Here's a snippet of the email, courtesy of the Washington Post's Ezra Klein.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<i><span style="background-color: white;">On November 7th, his administration gleefully voted at the UN for a renewed effort to pass the “Small Arms Treaty.”
</span></i><i><span style="background-color: white;">But after the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut — and anti-gun hysteria
in the national media reaching a fever pitch — there’s no doubt
President Obama and his anti-gun pals believe the timing has never been
better to ram through the U.N.’s global gun control crown jewel.</span></i><br />
<i><span style="background-color: white;">I don’t know about you, but watching anti-American globalists plot against our Constitution makes me sick.</span></i></blockquote>
The Kentucky Senator (R) has repeatedly spoken out against new laws on gun control. Most recently, he threatened to filibuster a bill to expand background checks on gun purchases. The Senate attempted to use cloture to circumvent the filibuster, but ended up falling short of the 60 votes needed to pass the bill.<br />
<br />
Paul called the bill "a dog and pony show" and accused Obama of using the Newtown victims' families-- who were present during the vote-- as political props. <br />

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XiisMMzZWcI/UY9XZqElELI/AAAAAAAAAB4/YiQ-YBSlzHE/s1600/25JUNK-popup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XiisMMzZWcI/UY9XZqElELI/AAAAAAAAAB4/YiQ-YBSlzHE/s320/25JUNK-popup.jpg" width="232" /></a><i>THE “fact” that junk food is cheaper than real food has become a
reflexive part of how we explain why so many Americans are overweight,
particularly those with lower incomes. I frequently read confident
statements like, “when a bag of chips is cheaper than a head of broccoli
...” or “it’s more affordable to feed a family of four at McDonald’s
than to cook a healthy meal for them at home.” </i><br />
This is just plain wrong. In fact it isn’t cheaper to eat highly
processed food: a typical order for a family of four — for example, two
Big Macs, a cheeseburger, six chicken McNuggets, two medium and two
small fries, and two medium and two small sodas — costs, at the
McDonald’s a hundred steps from where I write, about $28. (Judicious
ordering of “Happy Meals” can reduce that to about $23 — and you get a
few apple slices in addition to the fries!)</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In general, despite extensive government subsidies, hyperprocessed food
remains more expensive than food cooked at home. You can serve a roasted
chicken with vegetables along with a simple salad and milk for about
$14, and feed four or even six people. If that’s too much money,
substitute a meal of rice and canned beans with bacon, green peppers and
onions; it’s easily enough for four people and costs about $9.
(Omitting the bacon, using dried beans, which are also lower in sodium,
or substituting carrots for the peppers reduces the price further, of
course.) </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Another argument runs that junk food is cheaper when measured by the
calorie, and that this makes fast food essential for the poor because
they need cheap calories. But given that half of the people in this
country (and a higher percentage of poor people) consume too many
calories rather than too few, measuring food’s value by the calorie
makes as much sense as measuring a drink’s value by its alcohol content.
(Why not drink 95 percent neutral grain spirit, the cheapest way to get
drunk?) <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.onnit.com/?utm_source=PAP%2BAff&utm_medium=banner&utm_campaign=Pap%2BAffiliate&a_aid=endoRIOT&a_bid=7129d75d" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;" target="_top"><img alt="Onnit Labs" class="ttoanchvsvjgsiljhjuz" height="250" src="https://www.onnit.com/affiliate/accounts/default1/banners/ONNIT_300x250.gif" title="Onnit Labs" width="300" /></a><br />
Besides, that argument, even if we all needed to gain weight, is not
always true. A meal of real food cooked at home can easily contain more
calories, most of them of the “healthy” variety. (Olive oil accounts for
many of the calories in the roast chicken meal, for example.)In
comparing prices of real food and junk food, I used supermarket
ingredients, not the pricier organic or local food that many people
would consider ideal. But food choices are not black and white; the
alternative to fast food is not necessarily organic food, any more than
the alternative to soda is Bordeaux. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
The alternative to soda is water, and the alternative to junk food is
not grass-fed beef and greens from a trendy farmers’ market, but
anything other than junk food: rice, grains, pasta, beans, fresh
vegetables, canned vegetables, frozen vegetables, meat, fish, poultry,
dairy products, bread, peanut butter, a thousand other things cooked at
home — in almost every case a far superior alternative. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MTyK0EryCbs/UY9YVipA3kI/AAAAAAAAACE/VDElmkkJVWQ/s1600/20110925_BITTMAN_MARSHgph-popup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MTyK0EryCbs/UY9YVipA3kI/AAAAAAAAACE/VDElmkkJVWQ/s320/20110925_BITTMAN_MARSHgph-popup.jpg" width="165" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
“Anything that you do that’s not fast food is terrific; cooking once a
week is far better than not cooking at all,” says Marion Nestle,
professor of food studies at New York University and author of “What to
Eat.” “It’s the same argument as exercise: more is better than less and
some is a lot better than none.” </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
THE fact is that most people can afford real food. Even the nearly 50
million Americans who are enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program (formerly known as food stamps) receive about $5 per
person per day, which is far from ideal but enough to survive. So we
have to assume that money alone doesn’t guide decisions about what to
eat. There are, of course, the so-called<a href="http://apps.ams.usda.gov/fooddeserts/foodDeserts.aspx"> food deserts</a>,
places where it’s hard to find food: the Department of Agriculture says
that more than two million Americans in low-income rural areas live 10
miles or more from a supermarket, and more than five million households
without access to cars live more than a half mile from a supermarket.
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Still, 93 percent of those with limited access to supermarkets do have
access to vehicles, though it takes them 20 more minutes to travel to
the store than the national average. And after a long day of work at one
or even two jobs, 20 extra minutes — plus cooking time — must seem like
an eternity. </div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">It’s virtually impossible these days to enter a grocery store, even one
bearing the title of ‘natural’, and not encounter at least a few items
that contain genetically modified ingredients. And for quite some time,
this fact was not even known to the large majority of the United States
public. Many simply did not even know what a GMO was, or what it could
potentially do to their bodies (or the bodies of the children who they
were feeding with genetically engineered processed food).</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; color: #555555; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
This, of course, stems from the fact that the FDA and Monsanto have
decided that you aren’t allowed to know if your food contains GMOs. Even
despite the fact that peer-reviewed research<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>has pegged<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Monsanto’s
best selling herbicide Roundup (which is a key part of Monsanto’s
Roundup-ready GMO crops) to around 37 associated diseases, the FDA says
it’s perfectly safe. So safe that it’s not even necessary to label in
your food. So very safe that the only study that<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>ever examined<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>how
Roundup and GMOs affect rats throughout their lifetime found that the
rats developed tumors so large that it impacted their very ability to
move.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: inherit;">
It’s madness that has been identified for a long time by alternative
news writers and readers, but thanks to the success of Prop 37 and other
initiatives it has now hit the general public — and they’re not happy.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<h2 style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; color: #555555; font-size: 23px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 1; margin: 10px 0px 15px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>The Grassroots Will End Monsanto</b></span></h2>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; color: #555555; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
Now enter campaigns like the<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>March on Monsanto,
which is slated to happen around the world on May 25th. It’s a
grassroots event that has turned into a major organized movement thanks
to countless local activists. The event is going on in major cities like
San Diego and New York City, to small towns and even rural areas. It’s
all being organized online via an<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>open Google Document,
where you can find the protest nearest to you and be a part of it.
There’s also many open slots for organizers and speakers, so if you’re
interested in that be sure to check that out as well.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; color: #555555; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
The beauty of these events is that they are really the most effective at
taking down any type of corrupt entity, as the grassroots aspect just
empowers so many individuals without an underlying motivation for
profits or anything of that sort. It really just comes down to people
who want to eat real food and not some junk that’s spliced with the
genetics of a spider. Or more importantly, the few people who understand
that if we don’t stop genetically modified organisms today, they will
develop technologically into what’s known as things like ‘biopharmaceutical‘ crops tomorrow.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; color: #555555; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
I’ve said this back in 2011 and 2012, and I really do believe the
grassroots will destroy Monsanto within the next 3-4 years (at most).
The company has gotten away with Agent Orange<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>and the hundreds
of thousands of deaths from that, it has gotten away with horrendous
pollution dumps, it has truly gotten away with so much that the average
‘small business’ (a business that isn’t in bed with the government
agencies policing it) would never be able to. And the people aren’t
having it anymore.</span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span>
<br />
<div style="background-color: white; border: 0px none; color: #555555; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: 19px; margin: 0px 0px 10px; padding: 0px; text-align: start; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
Checkout March Against Monsanto and head to a local event. Hand out some
printed articles on GMOs from NaturalSociety or elsewhere, and just try
and spread the word in a kind and inviting way to the general public.</span></div>

<br />
"As
she stood in front of her 5th grade class on the very first day of
school, she told the children an untruth. Like most teachers, she looked
at her students and said that she loved them all the same. However,
that was impossible, because there in the front row, slumped in his
seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.<br />
<br />
Mrs. Thompson had watched Teddy the year before and noticed that he did
not play well with the other children, that his clothes were messy and
that he constantly needed a bath. In addition, Teddy could be
unpleasant.<br />
<br />
It got to the point where Mrs. Thompson would actually take delight in
marking his papers with a broad red pen, making bold X's and then
putting a big "F" at the top of his papers.<br />
<br />
At the school where Mrs. Thompson taught, she was required to review
each child's past records and she put Teddy's off until last. However,
when she reviewed his file, she was in for a surprise.<br />
<br />
Teddy's first grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is a bright child with a ready
laugh. He does his work neatly and has good manners... he is a joy to
be around.."<br />
<br />
His second grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is an excellent student, well
liked by his classmates, but he is troubled because his mother has a
terminal illness and life at home must be a struggle."<br />
<br />
His third grade teacher wrote, "His mother's death has been hard on him.
He tries to do his best, but his father doesn't show much interest and
his home life will soon affect him if some steps aren't taken."<br />
<br />
Teddy's fourth grade teacher wrote, "Teddy is withdrawn and doesn't show
much interest in school. He doesn't have many friends and he sometimes
sleeps in class."<br />
<br />
By now, Mrs. Thompson realized the problem and she was ashamed of
herself. She felt even worse when her students brought her Christmas
presents, wrapped in beautiful ribbons and bright paper, except for
Teddy's. His present was clumsily wrapped in the heavy, brown paper That
he got from a grocery bag Mrs. Thompson took pains to open it in the
middle of the other presents. Some of the children started to laugh when
she found a rhinestone bracelet with some of the stones missing, and a
bottle that was one-quarter full of perfume... But she stifled the
children's laughter when she exclaimed how pretty the bracelet was,
putting it on, and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist. Teddy
Stoddard stayed after school that day just long enough to say, "Mrs.
Thompson, today you smelled just like my Mom used to." After the
children left, she cried for at least an hour.<br />
<br />
On that very day, she quit teaching reading, writing and arithmetic.
Instead, she began to teach children. Mrs. Thompson paid particular
attention to Teddy. As she worked with him, his mind seemed to come
alive. The more she encouraged him, the faster he responded. By the end
of the year, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class
and, despite her lie that she would love all the children the same,
Teddy became one of her "teacher's pets."<br />
A year later, she found a note under her door, from Teddy, telling her
that she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life.<br />
<br />
Six years went by before she got another note from Teddy. He then wrote
that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still
the best teacher he ever had in life.<br />
<br />
Four years after that, she got another letter, saying that while things
had been tough at times, he'd stayed in school, had stuck with it, and
would soon graduate from college with the highest of honors. He assured
Mrs. Thompson that she was still the best and favorite teacher he had
ever had in his whole life.<br />
<br />
Then four more years passed and yet another letter came. This time he
explained that after he got his bachelor's degree, he decided to go a
little further. The letter explained that she was still the best and
favorite teacher he ever had. But now his name was a little longer...
The letter was signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, MD.<br />
<br />
The story does not end there. You see, there was yet another letter that
spring. Teddy said he had met this girl and was going to be married. He
explained that his father had died a couple of years ago and he was
wondering if Mrs. Thompson might agree to sit at the wedding in the
place that was usually reserved for the mother of the groom.<br />
<br />
Of course, Mrs. Thompson did. And guess what? She wore that bracelet,
the one with several rhinestones missing. Moreover, she made sure she
was wearing the perfume that Teddy remembered his mother wearing on
their last Christmas together.<br />
<br />
They hugged each other, and Dr. Stoddard whispered in Mrs. Thompson's
ear, "Thank you Mrs. Thompson for believing in me. Thank you so much for
making me feel important and showing me that I could make a
difference."<br />
<br />
Mrs. Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back. She said, "Teddy,
you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make
a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you."<br />
---<br />
Warm someone's heart today...pass this along. I love this story so very
much, I cry every time I read it. Just try to make a difference in
someone's life today? tomorrow? Just "do it."<br />
<br />
Random acts of kindness, I think they call it? Believe in Angels, then return the favor."<br />
<br />

(Video)<br />
Wi-Fi connects electronic devices to wireless computer networks
(wireless LAN) using electromagnetic radiation. Wi-Fi is installed in
homes, schools, offices, stores, hotels, coffee shops, airports,
libraries, hospitals, public buildings and even entire sections of
cities. Wi-Fi signals are, unlike TV and radio signals, strong enough to
penetrate concrete walls. Many health experts consider Wi-Fi radiation
to be dangerous.<br />

On Monday, the conservation group issued a warning that a 17 armed individuals, some with heavy-calibre rifles, had entered the park and was heading for the Bai, known locally as the "village of elephants".</div>

A new ad campaign in Spain aimed at combating child abuse is raising awareness in the most public way it knows how: posters of abused children displayed to the masses. There is a catch, though -- only children can see the abused faces. Reaching a kid who is a victim of abuse can be difficult. Often, a child is accompanied by his or her abuser, which can make verbalizing the presence of abuse that much scarier.<br />
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Georgia, Times, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 22.453125px; margin-top: 11px; padding: 0px;">
The Spanish children's advocacy group, Aid to Children and Adolescents at Risk (ANAR), created the ads using <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&#38;v=6zoCDyQSH0o" style="color: #5d4370; text-decoration: none;">lenticular printing</a>, which allows different images to be shown on the same display, depending on the angle it is viewed from. So an adult who is taller than 4-foot-5, standing directly in front of the ad, sees a picture of a child with the message, "Sometimes, child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it." ANAR posted a video to <a href="http://youtu.be/6zoCDyQSH0o" style="color: #5d4370; text-decoration: none;">YouTube</a> explaining how the ad works, and the technology behind it.</div>

However, a child 4-foot-5 or shorter sees the same child but with bruises on his or her face. The message is also different: "If somebody hurts you, phone us and we'll help you."</div>

The cool facts about chocolate in this article reveal how this fun and amazing superfood is actually healthy for you!<br /><br />It turns out that all the bad things commonly attributed to non-raw chocolate bars, such as cavities, weight gain and diabetes, are actually caused by the dairy, sugar and others fillers added to the dark chocolate. Health benefits of chocolate when it is in the form of raw cacao beans, butter, nibs and/or the powder include; weight loss (because of its high chromium and coumarin content), prevention of cavities (theobromine actually kills streptococci mutans one of the strains of bacteria that cause tooth decay) and regulation of blood sugar which is beneficial for diabetes (chromium can naturally regulate blood sugar). Also raw cacao benefits the heart and the entire cardiovascular system as a whole.<br /><br />Cacao is the highest whole food source of magnesium, which also happens to be the most deficient mineral in the diet of modern cultures. Magnesium relaxes muscles, improves peristalsis in the bowels and relaxes the heart and cardiovascular system. The dark chocolate antioxidants have been clinically proven to literally dissolve plaque built up in the arteries which helps in reversing heart disease and causes naturally lower blood pressure. Also, various other vitamins and minerals in raw cacao benefits the cardiovascular system.<br /><br />Traditional and scientific properties:<br /><br /><br />~Yang Jing, Qi, Shen, Blood<br />~Cooling, in excess heating<br />~Sweet, Astringent, Bitter<br />~Heart, Kidneys, Spleen<br /><br />The antioxidant content of raw cacao benefits the cardiovascular and general whole body health. In processed dark chocolate, antioxidants such as epichatehins, chatechins, resveratrol and procyanidins can be present, but are in much lower levels than in unheated raw chocolate nibs as an example. Out of all the whole foods that contain antioxidants, raw chocolate is the highest in the world. It dwarfs the popular foods and beverages commonly touted as being antioxidant rich foods such as red wine, green tea and blueberries by a factor of 10x or more! There are certain herbs and spices, such as the chaga mushroom and cinnamon, which have higher levels of antioxidants in them but generally you won't be consuming enough volume of them to get as much antioxidant value from them as you would from a normal dose of raw cacao. Benefits from consuming antioxidants come when a range of different types of foods high in them are in your diet, since different coloured foods have different antioxidant compounds which target different parts of the body. The phytochemical analysis of cacao beans reveal that raw chocolate is perhaps the most chemically complex food on Earth. There are compounds yet to be discovered in this most amazing of live superfoods. Phytochemicals usually degrade in the cooking process, so the raw forms of them should be abundant in every diet for longevity.<br /><br />~Anandamide (the only food that contains this neurotransmitter responsible for the feeling of "bliss")<br />~ N-linoleoylethanolamine (prevents the re-uptake of anandamide)<br />~Phenethylamine (PEA, a neurotransmitter known as the "love molecule")<br />~Seratonin (a neurotransmitter that acts as a "stress defense shield" by making you feel good)<br />~Dopamine (a neurotransmitter that boosts motivation and pleasure)<br />~MAO Inhibitors (prevents the re-uptake of serotonin and dopamine)<br />~Coumarin (has appetite suppressant, blood thinner and anti-tumor properties)<br />~Theobromine (controversial but actually quite beneficial for humans, see last section)<br />~Asparaginase (an enzyme that has anti-leukemia properties)<br />~Ergosterol (a precursor to vitamin D)<br />~Sitosterol (decreases LDL cholesterol)<br /><br />The nutrient density of raw cacao benefits every function of the body. One of the many cool facts about chocolate is that it is the highest source of magnesium and chromium of any food! Magnesium is the most deficient mineral in the average human. All of the compounds found in raw cacao benefits longevity in humans.<br /><br />~Vitamin A<br />~Vitamin B (1, 2, 3, 5 and 6)<br />~Vitamin C<br />~Vitamin E<br />~Magnesium<br />~Copper<br />~Calcium<br />~Manganese<br />~Zinc<br />~Sulphur<br />~Iron<br />~Chromium<br />~Phosphorus<br />~Omega 6 Fatty Acids<br />~Saturated Fats<br />~Amino Acids<br />~Carbohydrates<br />~Soluble Fiber (which is the type people need more of)<br />~Enzymes (including catalase, lipase and amylase)<br />~Other Beneficial Phytonutrients (such as the antioxidants already mentioned in this article)<br /><br />There are a plethora of scientific studies on the health benefits of chocolate and none that have been able to prove any negative health effects associated with it (unless the chocolate has additives like dairy or sugar).<br /><br />Dr. Gabriel Cousens conducted a study on the health benefits of chocolate in February of 2008. What he discovered was that raw cacao benefits diabetics as a safe food since it raises blood sugar less than almost any other food, despite it's theobromine content! It even raises insulin sensitivity! One of the other cool facts about chocolate that he discovered was that it's not toxic to the liver (many people are falsely claiming the contrary), except when combined in large amounts with sweeteners high in fructose such as agave. This is basically the only well known clinical study done specifically on how raw cacao benefits human health.<br /><br />It has been shown that raw cacao benefits a wide range of cardiovascular issues. The dark chocolate antioxidants and abundant amounts of magnesium and other phytochemicals can balance blood pressure, lower high cholesterol, scrub away arterial plaque and promote general health by reversing heart disease. (Raw) chocolate bars are known as a great remedy for many menstruation issues women can get. It is also confirmed as an aphrodisiac for both genders.<br /><br />The famous "Dutch study", which was done on regular processed chocolate, followed over 200 Dutch men over the course of twenty years and found that those who ate the most milk and dark chocolate had lower rates of all major diseases compared to those who ate little to no chocolate. The health benefits of chocolate were really emphasized in this study by the fact that there was no upper limit to how much chocolate could be consumed by these men. What they literally discovered was that the more chocolate you eat, the more your potential for human longevity increases! The chocolate being eaten in this study was processed milk chocolate mostly, so just imagine the difference that would come from eating raw cacao beans, nibs or other raw cacao products instead!<br /><br />In a Harvard study on the Kuna indian tribe off the coast of Panama, there was a unique chance to examine the health benefits of dark chocolate in a controlled way. Close to the region where the Kuna tribe lived there were other tribes of identical genetic heritage, very similar diet and identical lifestyle habits. The only difference was that the Kuna tribe lived in an area where cacao trees grew abundantly. They would consume up to 5 cups of a bitter dark chocolate drink on a daily basis (although they weren't aware of how raw cacao benefits your health even more than the cooked version). This resulted in them having lower rates of all major diseases as well as a longer average life expectancy. This study lead by Dr. Hollenberg spurred more research on the health benefits of chocolate, as well as the unique dark chocolate antioxidants that were abundant in these cacao drinks the Kuna tribe enjoyed so much.<br /><br />The world's oldest human being to have ever lived (that was officially documented) was Jeanne Louise Calment of France. She lived to be 122 and many say that one of her secrets to longevity was her consumption of 2.5 pounds of bitter dark chocolate a week. The third "official" oldest person ever to have lived was Sarah Knauss, who also regularly enjoyed the health benefits of chocolate, although not in as large quantities as Jeanne! On top of that, Chanel, perhaps the world's oldest dog to have ever lived (she lived to be 21, 147 in dog years), ate chocolate on a regular basis. She even once devoured an entire bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! This is very odd since chocolate is commonly touted as being toxic to dogs, even in small quantities... Imagine how long these people and animals could have lived if they had been aware of how raw cacao benefits your health more than the processed version.<br /><br />Despite the overwhelming evidence for the health benefits of chocolate, their are still many grumpy and prudish people out there "cocoa-bashing".<br /><br />These people never have any evidence to support their opinions. This is simply because there are no scientific studies that show any detriments to consuming chocolate! Raw cacao benefits all people who consume it unless their constitution is imbalanced. There is anecdotal cases of people having bad reactions to it. This is what these anti-chocolate campaigners go on and on about, yet little do they know that people can have bad reactions to any food depending on their own unique constitution. The amount that they take and/or whether the raw chocolate (or cooked chocolate) product is contaminated in some way will affect different people in different ways. Much in the same way people can have negative reactions to the Chinese herbs ginseng or astragalus if they are imbalanced, a strong Jing foundation must be developed first to support the very Shen building qualities of raw cacao beans and other raw chocolate products. The theobromine content of raw chocolate nibs and all other chocolate products is the chemical commonly vilified as being toxic. However no death or liver injury from theobromine poisoning in healthy humans has ever occurred! Over 20 pounds of pure raw chocolate would need to be consumed all at once to reach toxic levels of this phytochemical. The alkaloid theobromine is a cardiovascular stimulant that has little to no affect on the nervous system. It dilates blood vessels which naturally lowers blood pressure (taking strain off the heart) and increases nutrient uptake during digestion (when combined with adaptogenic herbs and other live superfoods, raw cacao benefits and potentiates these other phytochemicals).<br /><br />Theobromine also kills streptococci mutans, one of the main types of bacteria responsible for tooth decay and improves asthmatic type conditions by opening up the lungs. Of course anyone with liver damage should avoid chocolate products because of their high copper content and not so much because of their theobromine content. Stimulants in an of themselves are not a problem, as all foods contain various depressing or stimulating factors within them. Caffeine which is actually more harmful than theobromine is either very low or absent in chocolate (depending on the variety of cacao beans used to make the product). Virtually all plant foods contain different alkaloids which are toxic when isolated from the plant and taken in large doses. This does not mean that the plants that contain them need to be blamed in any way. When a persons body begins accumulating too much of a certain alkaloid, a natural aversion to that food begins to develop until the metabolism of the body has removed that compound.<br /><br /><br />The many raw cacao benefits are also called into question when people learn about its oxalic acid content. Oxalic acids can accumulate in the body blocking calcium absorption, causing kidney stones and other forms of calcification. It should be noted that many other common foods can contain up to 10x the amount of oxalic acid as chocolate. When you compare how much chocolate people eat at once (a few grams at most) to the amount of spinach (which is high in oxalates) that can be eaten, it becomes absurd to be afraid of this factor that's present in cacao beans. One of the cool facts about chocolate in it's unheated state is that the oxalic acid is harmless since only cooked oxalic acid combines with calcium to form oxalates that can accumulate in the body!<br /><br />Finally, many people are afraid of becoming addicted to this superfood. Despite all the raw cacao benefits in this article showing that this is perhaps the best thing to be "addicted" too, people still attack the health benefits of chocolate. You can become addicted to any type of food especially if it tastes good and makes you feel good! With the exception of physically addictive substances (like heroine or cigarettes), addiction is an entirely mental condition and needs to be addressed by temporarily abstaining from the food or thing that you're addicted too and then addressing the underlying emotional issues causing the attachment to that food or activity. Vilifying and claiming the activity is toxic is not addressing the issue and will lead a person with an addictive personality to some other food or activity to take its place. The health benefits of chocolate are outstanding and any addiction to it is the fault of the individual and not the chemicals within the cacao beans themselves.<br /><br />NB* Raw Cacao beans, powder and plain dark chocolate only, many commercial chocolate contain many other unhealthy/harmful ingredients. </span>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2435215812400497482.post-65346041795572711482013-05-10T09:55:00.000+02:002013-05-22T18:45:03.067+02:0015 Facts about smiling.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
